Indian citizens who qualify may now apply for the much anticipated UK Young Professionals Scheme, with 2400 visas available in the first round. You will be notified through email whether you were chosen in the ballot, and you will have 30 days to apply for the visa.
Eligibility:
- be an Indian national or citizen between 18 and 30 years old
- be at least 18 years old on the date you plan to travel to the UK – have a qualification at the bachelor’s degree level or above
- have £2,530 in savings to support yourself in the UK
- not have any children under the age of 18 who live with you or who you’re financially responsible for
The ballot is free to enter, but you should only enter the ballot if you plan to apply for the visa, which costs £259, and are able to meet the financial, educational and other requirements. The scheme allows to live and work in the UK for up to 24 months without the need of a sponsor or a job offer.
How much will it cost?
The application fee is £259 and additional costs is £940 immigration healthcare surcharge and proof that the applicant has GBP 2,530 in personal savings.
